ProgrammeThis one was not a great success, which is a bit of a disapointment, as we were looking forward to playing here again. We neglected to bring any foldback speakers, and the slapback echo caused us to think our sequencers were out of time. This affected both our playing, and what we tried to do. To cap it, we tried a new technique for the first time which has worked wonderfully in the studio (we used it on Pogofish) and was meant to rescue us. Of course, it went horribly wrong. Listening back to the music, it wasn't as bad as it sounded to us on stage, and the long opening segment is pretty good. But as a whole it was far from our best, and our disgusted (over) reaction was obviously picked up by the audience. But it was better than Derby!

Atmospheric shot Adrian brought his Mellotron. Not the easiest thing to bring down from his studio, and drag to Cheshire. The magic 'tron moment comes, he hides in his headphones, tunes up, then begins to play. Out of tune. Back to the phones and back in tune. Play... yup, out of tune again. The 'tron becomes a very heavy computer stand.

Curious Yellow provided a staggering live video backdrop. You can get some hint of what it was like from the photo, but you really needed to be there!

Overall A bit ropey. Taught us a lesson - not to panic!
