We have a DAT recording - something like 3 hours of it! It is very unlikely that we will release it, or that anyone would want us to!

Pete and John make some last minute tweaks Adrian was exibiting some of his photographs at the Jelly Leg'd Chicken, a Reading art gallery. He offered our services to supply some music to the "meet the artists" evening.

Because of the arty environment, and to avoid having to do a 4 hour synth-solo, we set up as an installation. We created some abstract Nord Modular sounds which came and went over the course of many differing intervals. On the day, we simply set the three synths up and let them get on with it.

Much to our suprise it seemed to go down with Reading's arty scene rather well - not least because we had only had a few days notice and hadn't even had a chance to try all three sets sounds together until we arrived at the gallery. Towards the end we turned on a sequence and tried a bit of playing but it was a bit lacklustre, and badly blurred by the echoey room.

Minstrels in the gallery

As our first home town event - in fact our first concert anywhere in the south of England, it was a bit of an oddity. But it was very satisfying, and we'd love to do more things like this in future. Any suggestion that this might have something to do with the audience having more than the usual handful of women in it is, of course, slander. The Jelly would make a nice place to play a normal concert too, if it weren't for the overwhelming reverb in the bare room.

Overall Different! And great fun!
